Hannah picked small pieces of grass out of the ground. She never thought Carlem was boring. She thought it was an adventure, but she wasn't sure she fit into it all that well. It was full of perfect people, living in their perfect houses, with their perfect siblings and parents. Life just didn't work that way for Hannah. She didn't have a home for sixteen years of her life, let alone a perfect one. She obviously wasn't perfect and her family was worse then her. Hannah looked up at Ryan, he didn't seem perfect, and she estimated that he lived in Carlem.
"Well, Carlem is normal. You grow up normally. In kindergarten you say you are going to marry this one person. You have a bunch of best friends. Hell, you make enemies. In a normal life you get to experience love and fist kisses. On the road it's not so simple," Hannah said, looking back down at the grassy ground. She was ashamed and it showed. She wiped her dry eyes, noticing there was nothing there but red blotches.
"Well, when you find out, tell me," She said softly, pulling out more pieces of grass from the ground.

Yeah, it was nice staying in one place for your whole life, with the same friends, the same enemies, but with the same drama. You couldn't run away from it. Everyone knew everything. Even twenty years from now, people will still be talking about what Myrannda and Zach (random names.) did under the bleachers at the football game that was only two days ago.
Ryan gave his head a shake after listening intently, "Growing up here, you wouldn't call all of it normal," Sure Carlem was alot better than living in the ghetto or something, but it still sucked.
"I'll be sure to do that," Ryan said, giving her a small smile, though it was small, it was still meaningful.

"You don't know what normal is 'till you experience living in a car for sixteen years. Fuck, I was born in that car." Hannah said, irritated at that fact. But remembering back to those times when she slept in that car, all she could remember was the smell. Its was disgusting. She couldn't even describe it, it was just so bad.
Another thing that irritated Hannah was that everyone thought she was a mute, or shy. Yeah, she was shy around people she didn't know, but she could talk, a lot.
"But y'know, I am really thankful for all that living in a backseat of a car," She noted with a small smile. "Without living like that, I wouldn't know how to paint. I wouldn't be considered by some of the top art colleges in the country. I have that to thank that stupid car for."

What was there left to say? Not much from Ryan's perspective. Any thought that was wondering around in his mind, begging to be said, he had to simply discard. Thoughs possible retorts weren't worth someone he just met getting even madder at him, it was just wasn't worth it.
So, he just sat there, like a retarded mime, listening to her speak, but trying not to make it so obvious.

Hannah fell silent when Ryan did. Did she do something wrong? Was she talking to much? Tons of thoughts were flowing through her mind, she wasn't sure which was which. It just hurt sort of, she was over working her brain when it was in a fragile state after the tumble down the hill.
"Kinda weird that I'm telling this to a stranger." Hannah said, feeling quite stupid. Wasn't she supposed to ignore strangers, not to talk to them. But then again, it was her birthday, she was alone and tired. And frankly, she didn't care if he was a stranger or not.

Ryan really didn't mind that she was talking as much as she was. It wasn't like he wasn't paying attention, because he was and it was interesting to hear about new people. So he simply looked at her again, waiting for the rest of her words to pour out.
Ryan gave a shrug as she said that bit about talking to strangers. "It doesn't really bother much. I don't talk much, I'm more of a listener," That was true, he didn't like talking to people he didn't know that much, it made him feel weird and uncomfortable. But listening to people didn't bother him much, he was a writer and it gave him inspiration, listening to people go on about their troubles.

"Okay. Well, I'm not sure there is much more to say. I think you know more about me then anyone else at the moment." Hannah said with an embarrassed smile. She picked out a few more clumps of grass from the ground, feeling like she was destroying nature. She quickly shrugged it off and continued to pull the grass out.
"But, I really don't know anything about you. Besides your name, but that's a little basic." Hannah said, looking over at him, wondering about him with curiosity. "But, you don't have to say anything if you don't want too. I mean, I just seem to blabber on about random things, I'm actually not sure why, it's just when I start, there is no stopping. So I usually think there is no point wasting my energy to stop talking if it's better if I use my energy for different things. Y'know?" Hannah finished, out of breath.

Ryan gave a simple shrug, "Even more than your parents?" He asked, his eyebrow raising and a soft smirk rising upon his lips. He couldn't help but say that, it just came out.
"There's not that much to me really," Ryan said, running a hand through his hair. "I play guitar and I write," He gave another shrug, "That's about it," He looked at her again and grinned, "I know, I know. You give me all that information and I have nothing to tell you in return,"

"I'm not big on telling my parents things." Hannah said with a small smile. It was true, her parents probably thought she still liked barbies and such. The only way they got to know her, was through her paintings, drawings, and photography. She always showed her feelings through her paintings. She was big on abstract, but could basically do everything else. She wasn't the greatest at watercolor.
"I don't expect you to say anything." Hannah said looking into Ryan's eyes. "You write?" She added, looking away, feeling her cheeks burn. She felt stupid for asking that question after he had just said he did.

"I have three sisters and one brother and I'm not the interesting one. So I don't really matter much," Ryan replied. He was okay with his brother Spencer, those two were about as close as brothers could come. His twin sister Jessika was fine, they fought sometimes, but they were pretty close. His youngest sister Rose, well Ryan didn't even pay any attention to her, they didn't talk much. The one he had a problem with was Nicole. She was one year younger than him, 16, and she was a stuck up prick.
Ryan gave a nod, "Yeah I just write random stuff," He shrugged it off, "I only write when I'm really bored,"

"Not interesting? I find that hard to believe." Hannah commented with confidence, a thing she usually lacked. "I find you quite mysterious in my eyes. Common. Who the hell would sit around and listen to a girl cry her heart out, along with all her troubles? To add that I was a stranger makes it even more unbelievable. If you write, how could you be boring? Maybe if someone liked you're writing you would think you are more interesting. I dunno. Right now, you matter to me. You were the one who sat down and listened to me yell and cry, I have a feeling that your siblings wouldn't of done the same.", Hannah finished, not really sure what she said, but was awfully proud of it.
"It's small things like writing and..art..that make people people. Without having those simple things, we aren't who we are meant to be. Maybe nobody knows you write, so what? Not very many people see my paintings because they show a lot about me from a simple drawing, photograph, anything." Hannah said with a small smile, looking off in the distance instead of at him. "Now, who said I can't say speeches?" She said looked back over at him with a wide grin.

Ryan couldn't help but turn a little red as she began saying all those things. No one ever really paid any attention to him, and, well it meant alot, even if she was just a random girl. "Thanks," He muttered, his cheeks still burning.
Ryan smiled a bit at her speech, "I take all I said before back," He said, his smile growing wider. "You give amazing speeches and you talk alot," He nodded, "But remember that I said I don't mind that you talk alot,"

"No problem." Hannah said with a grin, as she lied herself down on the ground. The sun was only a little sun burst in the sky, the light around it turning dimmer every minute. Soon it would be dark, but Hannah didn't really care. Her parents wouldn't be home for a while, and they probably wouldn't care where she was, or maybe they would. She decided not to think about it.
"Weird that you think that. People are usually surprised when I give speeches. Though you probably were too. People expect me to be a mute or something. It's quite odd because, I do talk, a lot at that." Hannah said with a smile, looking up at the dim stars above, which were becoming more and more visible.

"Are you sure you don't want to go get some ice cream or something?" Ryan asked, leaning back as well, but propping himself up on his elbows. "My treat," He added with a grin, looking out over the town as well.
"Well it's your birthday," Ryan said with a shrug, "I guess you're entitled to talk until you're blue,"

"Well, I am sort of hungry." Hannah said with a small smile. She did like ice cream. Very much so actually. Her favorite was strawberry, though she wasn't treated to ice cream often. "And if you are treating.." She added with a grin. She was more of a Popsicle girl, but oh well, ice cream was good too.
"Why would I wanna be blue?" Hannah said with a small giggle.

"Good. Cause I'm a growing boy that needs to fill his tummy," Ryan said, standing up and offering his hand to help her up. He meant it when he said his treat, he would do anything to please her on her oh so special day.
"Well why would you talk that much?" Ryan asked, raising an eyebrow slyly, happy with his response.
