Hannah pressed herself against the grassy hill. Her heart racing, the tears bursting. So this is what regular birthdays felt like, you're parents wishing you a happy birthday then dumping you to go to a big art show to advertise their already growing artistic popularity. Hannah felt discarded, unwanted, on the day of her birth. What were her parents, monsters? Hannah let a small tear roll down her rosy cheeks, she laying on the hill. The sun setting in the sky, it was truly beautiful. She was glad though, that she had left her camera behind, she wanted nothing to do with art on that one day.
She curled herself into a ball, still lying on the ground. She let herself cry, watching the sunset. It wasn't like she really had any friends. Sure she was new, but hell, it was halfway through the school year. She couldn't even snag a bestie. Hannah felt like a total idiot, not only was she ignored and neglected by her parents, but she was a no one to anyone in the school. Worst part was, she couldn't even set a good image of herself, everyone thought of her as the "shy student council girl".
Hannah felt so stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid. Holy, she couldn't even talk to the guy she liked. Back up, she liked someone. Hannah gasped, realizing, she did like someone. Was she a retard? She had never liked anyone before! Never kissed a boy! She was so shocked she stopped crying wondering who she liked. It was a mystery. She wasn't even sure if she did, she didn't know what it felt like.
She shook her head, trying to stay on check and calm. It wasn't really working. Hannah was bursting out in tears, because her life was seriously a mess. She was a mess. She quickly wiped her tears, only for them to be replaced in mere seconds. Hannah looked around her, hoping someone was nearby, but quickly changed her mind. She wouldn't want anyone to see her in the state she was in.

Something was going to happen today. What exactly? Ryan couldn't exactly put his finger on it, but the feeling was growing strong. Ryan always had those stupid feelings but none of them ever really seemed to come true, but this one just seemed stronger than the rest. Damn the raging hormones on the run again.
So, Ryan stuffed his hands deep in the pockets of his jeans as he started up the little trail leading up to the big hill, a slight breeze picking up which enabled his light brown hair to blow in the wind. He didn't really like being alone, but he just needed to think for a little bit. Hell, he didn't even like thinking, but something in his mind told him to go up there on this lovely day.

After looking around a few more times, here face drenched with tears, she noticed something in the distance. Hannah felt her eyes popping out of her head, and sobbed once more before hollering, "WHY MEEEEEEEEE!!" A long crying attack hit her, trying to disappear, when she was making herself more obvious.
Hannah, still lying down, accidentally rolled sideways, making her go flying down the hillside. "HOLY SHIT!!" She screeched rolling down the hill at a fast speed, crying like a maniac, while shooting down the hill.

Ryan jumped a little as he heard the girl yell this. What had he done now? He simply raised an eyebrow as he realzed she wasn't yelling him, but at herself. "I swear," He muttered softly to himself. rolling his eyes now, "Every person in this town belongs in a mental insitution," He knew damn well he shouldn't judge based on a first impression, but with this girl, it was kind of hard not to.
What was he supposed to do? Just stand there and watch the girl roll down the hill? Hell no, he couldn't stand seeing people scared or getting hurt, he just couldn't! It wasn't like the tumble from the hill was very far, but whenever someone rolled down it for the first time, it was scary. He knew she would be fine once she calmed down.
By the time he had decided if he was gonna try to stop her from rolling, she had reached the bottom. He ran down the hill to where she was and knelt down beside her, "Are you okay?" He asked, waiting for her reaction.

"DO I LOOK OKAY!?" Hannah said, tears streaming down her face, giant pieces of sticks in her hair, mascara running down her face. She looked like a train wreck. "Well, for starters, it's my birthday. My parents are at an art show, I have no friends. I'm basically walking embarrassment. And on top of that all, I was caught crying my brains out, and falling down a hill. Now I look like a ugly hobo." She added crying more and more.
"Yes. I am just fabulous." Hannah said with a frown, wiping off some of her tears. She sat up, after tumbling down the hill lying down. Was she supposed to be okay? Hannah wasn't sure anymore.

Ryan wasn't sure how to reply to any of that, but he would try his best to try and make her feel better. He sighed and replied in a cofident tone, "Well first off, Happy Birthday. Second of all, are you telling me that you sit alone at lunch everyday?" He shook his head, she didn't look like she was one of those weirdo loner types. "And sometimes you just needed to let it all out," He gave a shrug, "It's not your fault," He bit his lip a little, "I roll down that hill everytime I come up here. Accident or not I still do," He ran a hand through his hair "You don't look like a hobo either,"

Hannah sighed, she always met the nice guys, didn't she? It was hard to scream her guts out at them. "Well, thanks. Well, I don't sit alone..but just don't like me. I don't quite know why I was elected class president." She said wiping the remaining tears away. "I don't?" She questioned, taking a stick from her hair.
"That hurt.." She mumbled, rubbing her head looking back over at the hill with a grimace. Hannah came to the conclusion that she hit her head on the way down the hill because it was extremely sore, and hurt.

"Class president?" Ryan asked with a tilt of his head, "Sorry," He muttered, looking down at the grass, "You just don't seem like someone who would be in student council," He didn't know if that would hurt her feelings or what, but it just kind of slipped out.
"Go figure," Ryan said with a smile after she said that it hurt, "Do you want to go get some ice or something?" He offered, looking around to see if anyone was coming. "I could treat you on your very special day," He grinned at her, "By getting you some ice,"

"Shut up. You're making me feel loads better now." Hannah said crossing her arms across her chest. Well, that was a nice thing for him to say, she thought with a frown. She wasn't? Well, he didn't know her. But that thought crossed her mind every time she tried to ignore it. "B-but..am I really not?" She said bursting out in tears all over again.
Hannah decided to ignore his comment about ice. She wasn't going to move. She came to cry it all out, not go get ice with a stranger. She just continued to cry, ignoring the pounding pain in her head.

Sure he wanted to shut up, but the words wouldn't stop pouring out, it was like diaherra, "You just seem more like an artsy type," He said with a simple shrug, flipping his hair from his dark, chocolate eyes. "Not someone who could give speeches," He sat down next to her, "It's just that you seem kind of shy," He usually couldn't tell this much about a person just by watching them fall off of a hill.
"I can leave you alone if you want," Ryan said, looking her over as his eyebrow raised.

Hannah felt disturbed. How the hell did he know that? How could he possibly know who she was by her falling off the side of a hill. "How the fuck did you know that? Are you a stalker? Because seriously, I know I'm shy but I can probably beat you up." She said, in a very serious tone, scared shitless.
"No. Don't. I'd rather have a stalker here then cry alone." Hannah said with a shrug wiping off the most recent tears from her cheeks.

Ryan couldn't help but laugh at her reply. "To be honest, I don't even know how I know any of that," He looked up at the sky before looking down at her again. "Don't worry, I'm not a stalker. I've never seen you around and I don't even know your name," He shook his head slightly, his smile growing wider, "But then again I could be lying. I could know where you live, what your favorite food is, your number," His expression suddenly went blank, "You'll never know,"
"If you say so," Ryan replied, letting out a sigh, "I'm Ryan by the way,"

"I'm Hannah." She said with a smile, feeling her demeanor raise to a content level. "Wait. You haven't seen me around? Well, can't blame you. I just moved here, I moved here at the beginning of the year." She added. She hated being the new kid, but the kids at the school had to like her, since she was class president, right?
"Hm. Well, perhaps you are quick to judge then?" Hannah said with a soft smile. The sun was finally setting into the distance, staining the sky a deep red.

Ryan smiled at her, "I like the name Hannah," He looked up at the sky again, "And no. I've never seen you before," His eyes automatically went back to her face, "Where did you move here from?" He asked, keeping his eyes on her as he awaited her response.
Shaking his head, he replied, "Not usually," He bit the inside of his lip, "There's just something about you I suppose," He finished, sighing after his statement.

Hannah felt her cheeks burn as she replied with a soft smile, not looking at him, but the sky. "Well..thanks." Was she supposed to say she lived nowhere? Holy crap, she was a hobo! Since she wasn't the greatest liar, Hannah decided to go with the truth. "Well, my parents are artists, and all my life we just traveled around the United States, I think we went into Canada a few times. So really, I am a former-hobo who lived in a car." She bit her lip, feeling like an idiot, well, couldn't get much worse.
"What about me?" Hannah questioned, tilting her head in curiosity. The way he sighed made her skin crawl, she wasn't quite sure if she liked it or not.

Ryan gave a nod. Most people would have thought that was sad and would have started pitying her, but honestly, he thought it was kind of cool. "I've lived here my whole life," He looked out over what they could see of the town, "It's not really fun here,"
"I'm not really sure," Ryan replied in a quiet voice, slightly embarrassed about the truth.
