Boredom boredom boredom. Who likes being bored? Lucy doesn't and she rarely ever is. But this lovely day also happened to be a boring day, life was grand eh?
Lucy had been a loner at home and she decided maybe everyone was downtown or at the railroad tracks or even up at Cherry Flatts. Well Lucy was lazy as well as bored and she decided to kick it at the park and that maybe she would get lucky and some people would show up and entertain her.
She allowed a sigh to exit through her lips as she sat on a low swing, her hands automatically reaching for the chains for better support as she began to swing herself gently, her feet dragging in the woodchips below.

Hannah walked aimlessly though the park area. She was grasping her beloved Nikon, taking photos like she was getting paid. She was always looking for inspiration, working her ass off everyday trying to find the perfect picture, or the perfect spot to sit down an paint. She walked up to a old tree, which looked almost one hundred years old, still holding up well. She took a few pictures before she saw something else in the lenses, a girl. Not just any girl, Lucy.
Hannah quietly scurried over to her, not as quiet as she had hoped, courtesy of the wood chips. She sat down in the swing next to her with a small smile. "Hey Lucy." She said with a grin, focusing on the ground, acting out her usual shyness.

Lucy looked up as she heard the woodchips behind her. She shook her hair from her eyes as the girl sat next to her. She recognized her instantly. "Hey Hannah," She said in an also quiet voice, a tone she hardly ever used. "What's up?" She added in a questioning tone, sitting up straighter and gripping the chains harder, looking out at the jungle gym before she turned her attention to Hannah again.

"Not much. School coming too soon. Though I'm looking forward to getting to create some kind of fund raiser for the school." Hannah said with a small smile turning her head towards Lucy. "You? I mean, anything new?" She added with a sort of confidence that was normally hidden.
Hannah let a soft sigh escape her lips as she looked around, still grasping onto her camera. A small black crow rested on the top of the biggest slide on the jungle gym. Hannah quickly took a shot of it before it flew off into the sky.

What was there to tell? Nothing interesting had happened over Winter break, well besides Keith but Lucy highly doubted Hannah wanted to hear about her love life. So, she simply shrugged, "Nothin' really. It's been really boring lately," She answered with a sigh at the end. "The after school activities are the only reason worth going to school," She muttered. All the teachers pretty much hated Lucy, saying she was a smart ass and that she was going to get nowhere with a mouth like hers.
